HOW TO CARE FOR PATINAS:

Hand applied patinas on metal are somewhat delicate. They are not meant to be worn as everyday jewelry, and especially not in wet situations. I seal them with lacquer, which will not hold up to exposure to water. If they must be cleaned, I would recommend very gentle wiping with a dry cloth. Absolutely no water or cleaning solutions of any kind. You may want to apply a water resistant sealer over the lacquer, such as polyurethane or microcrystalline wax to help increase the durability of the patina.

Pure Fluorite is actually white or colorless, but trace minerals give it many colors. Fluorite is transparent in most cases. The most commonly recognized fluorite color is a purple-blue mix but it is also found in blue, green, red and yellow colors. Fluorite is found in many parts of the world including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, Norway, Mexico, Canada (Ontario), and the U.S. The largest producer of fluorite in the U.S. is Illinois, and is in fact their state mineral. 

We do our best to choose each stone carefully and purposefully for every piece.. However there might be slight differences in color size shape and clarity which makes each item unique and one of a kind.

Each piece of jewelry will come in a colored drawstring bag for it’s protection and storage or to be ready to give as a gift.
